Cancellation Rights Information

This page explains how cancellations work and where statutory cancellation rights apply to accommodation booked for a specific date.

Last updated: 1 July 2026

Statutory cooling-off period

Under regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, contracts for accommodation provided on a specific date or period are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel. Our own cancellation scale below therefore applies instead, and it does not affect your rights if a service is not supplied as described.

Cancellation by you

  • More than 8 weeks before arrival: the deposit is retained; any balance paid is refunded.
  • 8 to 4 weeks before arrival: 50% of the total holiday cost is retained.
  • 4 to 2 weeks before arrival: 75% of the total holiday cost is retained.
  • Less than 2 weeks before arrival or no-show: 100% of the total holiday cost is retained.

How to cancel

Send written notice to [email protected] quoting your booking reference, or call 0333 888 0205 and follow up in writing. The cancellation takes effect on the working day we receive your notice, and we confirm it within 48 hours.

Refunds

Refunds due are paid to the original payment method within 14 days of the cancellation being confirmed. Where a refund is issued by a villa owner or a third-party supplier, we will chase it on your behalf and keep you updated.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance including cancellation cover from the moment you book. Many cancellation charges are recoverable under a suitable policy.
